In order to discourage excessive data scraping and system manipulation, Twitter has implemented limitations on the number of tweets that various account types can read per day.

According to a statement on the platform by Executive Chair Elon Musk, verified accounts were initially limited to reading a maximum of 6,000 posts per day.Furthermore, unverified accounts were limited to 600 daily posts, while new unverified accounts were limited to 300 daily posts.

However, Elon Musk later updated the temporary reading limitations in a separate post. Verified users are now allowed to read up to 10,000 posts per day, unverified users can read a maximum of 1,000 posts per day, and new unverified users are limited to 500 posts per day. Further details regarding the changes were not provided in the post.

Elon Musk expressed concerns regarding the aggressive scraping of Twitter data by hundreds of organizations or more, which had a negative impact on the user experience. This issue highlighted the challenges associated with maintaining a smooth and reliable platform.

Furthermore, Musk had previously voiced his dissatisfaction with artificial intelligence firms, including OpenAI, which owns ChatGPT, for utilizing Twitter's data to train their large language models. This sentiment reflects a broader discussion around data usage and ethical considerations in the field of AI.

On a separate note, Twitter experienced an outage on Saturday morning, affecting a significant number of users. Around 11:17 am ET (8:47 pm IST), approximately 7,500 users reported difficulties accessing the app, according to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

Step Taken By Elon Musk To Increase user Experience

In an effort to regain advertiser confidence and enhance subscription revenue, Twitter has implemented various measures under Musk's ownership. One such initiative is the inclusion of verification checkmarks as part of the Twitter Blue program, which aims to provide additional value to subscribers.

These developments highlight the ongoing efforts by Twitter to address concerns, improve user experience, and explore innovative revenue streams.

Introduction of Paid Blue Tick on Twitter

In March, Twitter made an announcement stating that starting from April 1, only paid subscribers would receive verified marks for their accounts. This implies that individuals must be Twitter Blue subscribers to obtain a blue check mark on their accounts.

In India, the subscription cost for Twitter Blue is ₹900 per month for both Android and iOS devices. For web users, the pricing stands at ₹650 per month. Alternatively, users have the option to choose an annual subscription, which is priced at ₹6,800 for web users and ₹9,400 for iOS and Android users per year.
