Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma was selected by UP Warriorz for a whopping amount of Rs 2.6 crore in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Auction held in Mumbai. Her base price was INR 50 lakh, but there was a tough competition between Delhi, Gujarat Giants, and Mumbai for her signature. However, UP Warriorz made a surprise first bid at INR 2.2 crore and eventually won the bid for Deepti Sharma.

Deepti Sharma, who is just 25 years old, has been very successful as a T20I all-rounder in recent years. Moreover, Deepti is also the second-highest T20I wicket-taker for India and needs just three more wickets to become the first Indian player to take 100 wickets in the shortest format of the game.
