Delhi’s Saket Court has issued a warrant for Dhruv Rathee, the famous Youtuber & others cause of their violent and abusive troll against BJP. The summon is sanctioned as per the defamation suit filed by Suresh Karamshi Nakhua, spokesperson of BJP’s (Bhartiya Janata Party) Mumbai Unit.

Suresh Karamshi Nakhua, the spokesperson of Bhartiya Janata Party, filed a defamation petition against a famous Youtuber Dhruv Rathee for allegedly implying to him as a part of harsh and insulting trolls.

At present, Rathee has approximate 28.7 Million Subscribers across his all channels. His videos has 4.86 Billion views in total.
Dhruv Rathee vs BJP Controversy July 2024
Dhruv Rathee was recently got into the controversy with BJP party after his video “My Reply to Godi Youtubers | Elvish Yadav | Dhruv Rathee” posted on 7th July (Sunday). After a civil defamation case filed by the BJP, Mumbai, the Saket Court of Delhi has issued a warrant to Rathee and 2 others. Suresh Karamshi Nakhua, the Mumbai unit spokesperson of BJP, filed the case allegedly implying to Rathee as a part of harsh and insulting trolls against BJP.
On July 19th, Gunjan Gupta, the District Judge, in an order passed stated:
“Issue summons of the suit and notice of the application u/o 39 Rule 1 and 2 CPC to the defendants, subject to steps by all modes i.e. PF & RC/Speed Post/ Approved Courier including electronic mode for 06.08.2024.”
Who filed the Suit against Dhruv Rathee?
Suresh Karamshi Nakhua, the Mumbai unit spokesperson of BJP, filed the suit against Dhruv Rathee, Google LLC and Twitter Corp (Presently Popular as X). He submitted that Dhruv Rathee had uploaded “My Reply to Godi Youtubers | Elvish Yadav | Dhruv Rathee” titled video in which he referred the BJP spokesperson as a part of violent and abusive trolls for no logical explanation or reason just to bring down his image. Nakhua mentioned in the suit:
“Through this cunningly crafted video, a deliberate campaign to besmirch the Plaintiff’s integrity and reputation is apparent, as baseless accusations and malicious connections are artfully insinuated.”
He further stated that these defaming statements by Rathee in his video has somewhere damaged the public reputation of Nakhua and impacted his personal & professional life.
Nakhua added that Dhruv Rathee is involved in doing repeated defamation of others, threatening online and dropping the career of co-Youtubers using the strength of his audience and followers.
Nakhua had thus requested a permanent restraining order against Rathee preventing him from posting, tweeting, publishing, creating or sharing any disrespectful and negative material on any online or offline platform in relation to the BJP party.
He also claimed that INR 20 Lakhs should be given to him in his favour for publicly declining his image. He also requested to permanently restrain Rathee from contacting Nakhua or any of his colleagues for anything in future.
