Ireland's board extends an invitation to Sanju Samson to represent it.

Sanju Samson has not been a regular member of the Indian cricket squad, aside from putting in some good performances over the past several months. As a result of Samson's continued absence from the squad, fans frequently blame the Indian team management for not giving him a chance. According to claims that have surfaced, Samson was recently extended an opportunity by the Ireland Cricket Board to join their squad.

According to reports, the Ireland board assured Samson that if he moved to the nation to further his cricketing career, he would play in every game. Samson, meanwhile, turned down the offer and said that he would never think about choosing another nation at the international level since he wants to play for India. The 28-year-old would have had to cut all links to the BCCI and the Indian Premier League if he had accepted the offer.

Who is Sanju Samson?

Sanju Samson was born on November 11, 1994. He plays cricket for India at the international level and is the captain of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and Kerala in the domestic league. He was the vice-captain of the Indian U-19 squad for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. He played his first T20I for India away at Zimbabwe in 2015. He played against Sri Lanka in his first ODI match in 2021. Before moving to Kerala, Sanju started playing cricket in Delhi. He created waves in juvenile cricket before making his Kerala first-class debut in 2011. In 2013, he made his IPL debut with the Rajasthan Royals and won Emerging Player of the Year. On the sixth occasion an Indian hit a double century in List A cricket, he struck an undefeated 212 in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, which is also the second-fastest double century in the format.

Didn't get a chance in a big tournament

Samson, who was included in the team for the T20I matchup with Bangladesh, sat out the whole series. Many Indian supporters, like me, become frustrated when Rishabh Pant, who continues to struggle for India at the highest level, is selected.

Sanju, who scored two hundred runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, has also been in outstanding form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, hitting 53 and 38 runs in the previous two matches, respectively. In addition to leaving out Samson, the selectors once chose to play Rishabh Pant despite the fact that he continues to struggle with the bat and behind the wickets. I still don't understand why they made this absurd choice. For MSD's absence, they claim that it may be somewhat accepted since they choose to concentrate on the future, but what is their stance on Sanju's omission? MSK Prasad's response was only a foolish one since they wish to move on from Pant. This action in Sanju's direction is unfair. He should play in a game and be selected for the Indian squad. Pant has ample opportunities. He fails in both the batting and wicket-keeping departments eight out of ten times. still giving Sanju a chance but ignoring him.

Clarification on Sanju Samson's Invitation From Ireland

Proposal: Indian cricketer Sanju Samson will now serve as the team's captain.

Fact: Recent publications on several sports and general news websites claimed that Sanju Samson has been offered the chance to represent the Ireland Cricket team. Additionally, according to these press sources, Sanju Samson graciously declined this offer, stating that he only wanted to serve India internationally and could never envision doing so for any other nation. The Ireland Cricket Board dismissed these press claims as total nonsense in response to an email inquiry for more information, and it denied making any such offer to Sanju Samson. Consequently, the allegation in the post is false.
