Mimi Chakraborty, the former TMC (Trinamool Congress) MP, has recently been the talk of the town after partaking in the protests with the doctors demanding justice for the 31-year-old doctor who was brutally raped & murdered in Kolkata.

In 2019, she shifted to Indian Politics and served as a member of Parliament for the Jadavpur constituency till February this year.

Mimi Chakraborty denied bowing down because of the online threats she received. After she shared the screenshots of the threats she was getting on social media, the Cyber Crime Department took legal action with Kolkata Police. 

In her recent post, she tagged the cybercrime division of the Kolkata police and shared on X:

“UPDATE :( on the R*** threats) With help from Cyber crime department @DCCyberKP FIR has been lodged regarding this. Those accounts have been taken down and deactivated forever. Police is trying to trace the main two here coz they hav deleted all comments nd hav gone incognito.”
