IPL Orange Cap Winners History | Orange Cap Winners List

The Orange Cap is an individual award in the Indian Premier League (IPL) given to the player who scores the most runs in a particular season of the tournament. The player who holds the Orange Cap is recognized as the leading run-scorer of the IPL season.

The Orange Cap was first introduced in the IPL in 2008 and has since become a prestigious award for batsmen in the tournament. The cap is presented to the leading run-scorer of the tournament at the end of each IPL season. The player who holds the Orange Cap can wear it on the field during matches. If two or more players score the same number of runs in an IPL season, the player with the higher strike rate will be awarded the Orange Cap. If the strike rates of the players are also the same, then the player who has hit the most number of fours and sixes will be awarded the cap.

The Orange Cap has been won by several top-class batsmen in the IPL, including Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, David Warner, and Shane Watson. The award adds another layer of excitement to the tournament and gives fans a reason to follow the performances of the top batsmen in the league.
