Top 10 Choices From IPL 2023 Auction

When their names are called during the Indian Premier League auction, cricket players from all around the world are eagerly awaited. The IPL 2023 mini players' auction on Friday might be a turning point in some cricketers' careers as all 10 clubs strive to boost their squads with top players.

The players from Australia and England, Ben Stokes and Sam Curran are expected to bring in the highest prices. Cricketers selected by Harish Kotian are those who are most likely to draw attention during the Kochi IPL 2023 auction.

Cameron Green

At the IPL auction, the Australian star is expected to gain big. Despite having only played in eight T20 Internationals for Australia, the 6' 6" all-rounder gained attention in September with his sensational runs of 60 from 31 balls and 52 from 21 balls as the opener during the T20I series in India. He is also an excellent fast bowler, which puts him at the top of nearly every franchise's priority list.

Sam Curran

Sam largely contributed to England's victory in the T20 World Cup by taking 13 wickets at a 6.52 economy rate. His 13 wickets helped CSK win the IPL tournament in 2021, but an injury kept him out of the competition this year. With a strike rate of 135 in T20 cricket, Sam can also help with the bat. Sam is probably to be selected by CSK, who may make a big effort to bring him back.

Ben Stokes

The IPL 2021 injury that forced England's Test captain to withdraw after just one game was followed by his absence from the IPL 2022 due to task scheduling. With 920 runs from 43 games at a strike rate of 134, including two centuries and two fifties, Stokes has a strong overall record in the IPL. He has also taken 28 wickets.

Rilee Rossouw

The left-hander from South Africa last participated in the IPL in 2015, when he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the third T20 International in Indore in October, he hit a massive 100 not out of 48 balls against India. Later, in the T20 World Cup, he blasted 109 off 56 balls against Bangladesh.

Rossouw has scored 6,930 runs in 272 T20 games with an excellent strike rate of 143.

Harry Brook

Ben Stokes believes the young Englishman has the capability to have an effect similar to Virat Kohli. Brooks amassed 468 runs at a strike rate of 93, including three centuries and a fifty, in the three Test matches he participated in against Pakistan. Although not scoring many runs during the T20 World Cup, he has a strong record in T20 cricket, having amassed 2,432 runs in 99 games with a strike rate of 148 and 102 sixes.

Nicholas Pooran

After being signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 10.75 crore in the February 2022 auction, Pooran had a successful IPL 2022 season, scoring 306 runs with a strike rate of 144.

The Abu Dhabi T10 has seen him in amazing form, scoring 345 runs at a strike rate of 234, despite the fact that he didn't score many runs in the T20 World Cup

With 912 runs from 47 games and a strike rate of 151, he has an overall strong record in the IPL and might see another windfall at the auction.

Mayank Agarwal

Agarwal suffered with the bat while leading the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2022, and his club didn't advance to the playoffs. Following the end of IPL 2022, Punjab released him a few months later, and the right-hander may be quite high on the list of some clubs looking for a strong opener for IPL 2023. Agarwal has a solid record in the IPL, having scored 400 or more runs in each of the 2020 and 2021 seasons, totaling 2,327 runs in 113 games, with a strike rate of 134.

Adil Rashid

Teams like the Mumbai Indians, who failed to secure a top spinner in the February auction, may be eager for England's senior spinner. Rashid had superb control throughout the T20 World Cup, giving up runs at a rate of 6.12 despite only having four wickets in six games. In the semifinal match against India and the championship match against Pakistan, he scored 1/20 and 2/22 respectively.

Narayan Jagadeesan 

Jagadeesan of Tamil Nadu might be the best uncapped Indian player to choose from. He was let go by CSK last month, and in the Vijay Hazare one-day competition, he broke a record five centuries in a row, including a world record 277 from 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh. The wicket-keeper-opener continued over that form into the Ranji Trophy, hitting 116 from 97 balls and a 22-ball 59 not out in the first match against Hyderabad to raise his stakes before the auction. If he sells for far more than his starting bid of Rs 20 lakh, it won't come as a surprise.

Sikandar Raza

The spin all-rounder from Zimbabwe may be a good addition to any IPL squad due to his versatility with both the bat and the ball. Raza led Zimbabwe to a 2-1 victory in the ODI series with a back-to-back century against Bangladesh. In an ODI in August in Harare, he smashed 115 off 95 balls against India.

In the T20 World Cup, he had a few strong innings that allowed him to finish with 219 runs at a strike rate of 147 and 10 wickets at a 6.50 economy rate.

The Mumbai Indians, who struggle with spin, could be interested in signing Raza.
