Women’s U-19 T20 Asia Cup Announcement by ACC 2024

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) recently announced the inaugural edition of the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup tournament. They officially announced this women’s cricket tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during the ACC Executive Board Meeting on 11th September 2024 (Wednesday).

The Council also mentioned that this cricket tournament would be scheduled only once in two years. It will be presented before each ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup. The decision was taken during the ACC Executive Board meeting which was operated by Jay Shah, soon to be the ICC Chairman from 1st December this year. 

This will happen for the first time in cricket that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has taken an initiative for the young female cricketers. It reflects the commitment to encourage gender equality through sports and will support the young talented females at all levels of Cricket sports.
