He lived in challenging conditions with no light or toilet facilities, but he persevered, earning the nickname "Warrior." To support himself, he sold Pani-Puris to the spectators at the ground while continuing to chase his dream.

During one of his matches, Jaiswal caught the attention of coach Jwala Singh, who recognized his talent and determination.Jwala Singh became Jaiswal's mentor, providing guidance and taking him under his wing. He offered Jaiswal a place to stay in his own house and took full responsibility for his well-being, becoming a godfather-like figure to the young cricketer.
