K. Viswanath, a renowned Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor, passed away on February 2, 2023, at his Hyderabad residence at the age of 92. He was suffering from age-related health issues. Viswanath directed over 50 films in Telugu and Hindi and is widely regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in Indian cinema. He began his career in the film industry as a radiographer in Telugu movies and made his directorial debut with Vanakesari in 1960. Some of his notable directorial works in Telugu include O Seeta Katha (1974), Jeevana Jyothi (1975), Sankarabharanam (1980), Sagara Sangamam (1983), Swathi Muthyam (1986), Swayam Krushi (1987), and Sutradharulu (1990).
He also directed several memorable Hindi films, such as Sargam (1979), Kaamchor (1982), Shubh Kaamna (1983), Jaag Utha Insan (1984), Sur Sangam (1985), Sanjog (1985), Eeshwar (1989), and Sangeet (1992).
Viswanath received numerous accolades for his contributions to the film industry, including five National Film Awards, seven state Nandi Awards, ten Filmfare Awards South, and a Filmfare Award in Hindi. He was honored with the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2017. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Nazim Hassan Rizvi (Producer) (Birthdate: 1952, Death Date: 06 February 2023)
Nazim Hassan Rizvi, a controversial Bollywood producer, passed away on February 6th, 2023 in Mumbai, while undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was born in 1952 and was primarily known for producing the Salman Khan starrer Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), which was directed by Abbas-Mustan.
Before the release of the film, Nazim Hassan Rizvi was arrested in 2000 due to his alleged links with the underworld, following which he was sentenced to six years of imprisonment. He began his Bollywood career as a producer in 1991 with the film Majboor Ladki, which was followed by Apaatkaal (1993), Angaar Vadee (1998), and Undertrial (2007), and Hello Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain (2010), among others.

Salim Durani, a veteran cricketer and actor, passed away on 02 April 2023 in Jamnagar, Gujarat at the age of 88. He had been battling cancer for some time and had undergone a proximal femoral nail surgery in January 2023 after fracturing his thigh bone.
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Salim Durani played 29 Test matches for India from 1960 to 1973 and is remembered for being the hero of India's series victory against England in 1961–62 and India's maiden victory against the West Indies at Port of Spain in 1971.
He had acted in only one Hindi movie, Charitra (1973), opposite Parveen Babi. Salim Durani was also the first cricketer to receive the Arjuna Award.

Veteran actress, director and politician Jamuna passed away at the age of 86 at her home in Hyderabad due to age-related issues on 27 January 2023. Jana Bai, born in Hampi, Karnataka in 1936, made her acting debut at the age of 16 in Garikapati Rajarao's Telugu film Puttillu in 1953.
She gained recognition for her role in L. V. Prasad's Telugu hit Missamma in 1955, and went on to appear in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films until 1990. She made her Bollywood debut in 1957 with Miss Mary, and later gained fame for her role in the 1967 hit film Milan, a remake of her Telugu hit Mooga Manasulu (1964), for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She appeared in several popular films, including Hamrahi (1963), Beti Bete (1964), Rishte Naate (1965), Dulhan (1975), Naukar Biwi Ka (1983), and Raaj Tilak (1984). She also served as a member of parliament from the Rajahmundry constituency in the 9th Lok Sabha (1989–1991). She is survived by her son Vamsee Juluri and daughter Sravanthi.
