Team Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2024 Squad
The ICC T20 Men's World Cup is a biennial Twenty20 international tournament contesting the men's national cricket teams from all over the world and controlled by the International Cricket Council. It is going to start its ninth edition on June 2, 2024. For 2024, it is scheduled to be jointly hosted by the West Indies & the USA from June 2 to June 29, 2024.
ICC Men's World Cup 2024 Group
Every side will play four group games, one against each of the other teams in the Group. The top two teams from every group qualify for the Super 8 stage of the competition. The Super 8 teams will be split into two groups containing 4 teams in each group. The top two teams from each group will reach the semi-finals. For this year, the semi-final is pre-decided to occur on the 26th and 27th of June. The final match will occur on June 29 concluding the ultimate winner of the title this year.
The selected 20 squads are divided into four distinct groups, as stated below:
- Group A includes India, Ireland, Canada, Pakistan, and the United States.
- Group B includes Australia, Namibia, England, Scotland, and Oman.
- Group C includes Uganda, Papua New Guinea, the West Indies, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.
- Group D includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Nepal.
A squad will receive two points for each victory, a single point for no outcome (if the game is canceled or wiped out due to weather), and zero points for failure.
