The IPL mini-auction held on Friday in Kochi was anything but that. Around 80 players were sold, 29 of them were foreigners, and a staggering Rs. 167 Crore was spent on that blockbuster of the day. The 10 teams broke out the check books and poured the cash.

Despite the fact that Sam Curran received all the attention for being the most expensive acquisition in IPL auction history, numerous uncapped players also signed lucrative contracts with the franchises.

Shivam Mavi, Gujarat Titans - Rs. 6 Crore

The largest price for an uncapped player in Friday's auction was made for all-arounder Shivam Mavi by the defending champion Gujarat Titans, who paid Rs. 6 Crore for his services. After four seasons with the team, Mavi was released by Kolkata Knight Riders prior to the auction, and the Titans compiled by acquiring the 24-year-old. To secure its player, the defending champion had to hold off opposition from teams like the Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and the former team KKR.

Bengal's Mukesh Kumar, who was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 5.5 Crore, will make his IPL debut. For the home ODI series against South Africa before the T20 World Cup, right-arm seam bowler Kumar received a national call-up for team India, but he was unable to play in any of the matches.

Kumar was available for CSK and Punjab Kings with a basic fee of Rs. 20 lakh. DC ultimately submitted the winning offer, though, allowing Kumar to possibly make his season debut.

Vivrant Sharma, Sunrisers Hyderabad - Rs. 2.6 Crore

By signing talented J&K all-rounder Vivrant Sharma for RS. 2.6 crore, SRH edged out KKR for the top spot. He became the third-highest uncapped pick in the auction thanks to his outstanding achievements in the Vijay Hazare Trophy competition, which featured two fifty-plus scores and an outstanding unbeaten 154 against Uttarakhand at the Wankhede.

Although he will make his IPL debut in the 2023 season, this is not his first experience with SRH or the IPL in general. He bowled leg spin as a net bowler for the team during the last IPL, and he also had the chance to show off his striking ability during the batting sessions.

Mayank Dagar, Sunrisers Hyderabad - Rs. 1.8 Crore

Dagar, a left-arm spinner from Delhi who is 26 years old, is well known for two things in addition to his cricketing prowess. He gained notoriety when it turned out that the results of his yo-yo test beat those of team India's fitness phenom, Virat Kohli. KS Bharat, Gujarat Titans - Rs. 1.2 Crore

Bharat has been a member of the Indian test team on and off since 2019, but has never reached the starting XI. After Rishabh Pant suffered a concussion, he was named to the ODI squad for the series against Australia in January 2020. He did not, however, play for India in that format.

He has played for the Delhi Daredevils (2015), the Royal Challengers Bangalore (2021), and the Delhi Capitals (2022).
