• Rinku Singh, the star batter of IPL was once struggling with his life and poor family conditions. He was born in Aligarh, U.P. to Khanchandra Singh and Vina Devi. Rinku was 3rd among his 5 siblings. 
• His initial family income was very less as his father was earning 6-7 K a month and his brother was also earning the same amount by driving an auto rickshaw.
• As per one of his interviews, he was not getting any support for his academic studies from his father and his mother suggested that he should take a job to support family financially.
• He dropped out of school when he failed in 9th standard and started searching for a job.  
• The first job offered to him was of a sweeper in a coaching center, but he denied that. He then decided to work too hard on his passion Cricket, and this paid him back.

His father initially didn’t like his decision of being a cricketer and often used to beat him with a stick for the same.In 2012,  he played in the Cricket World Cup tournament which was organized by the DPS Aligarh. In this league he played against teams from Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka and finished the game with 354 runs and 8 wickets. He became the man of the series and won a motor bike as prize in this tournament in Delhi. His parents were there in the audience and after watching his performance they changed their mind and became a supporter to their son.

His financial issues finally came to an end when he joined KKR franchise in the IPL 2018 edition and got a salary of INR 80 lakhs, which as per him is a huge amount. He recently hitted 5 continuous sixes against the GT franchise and ended up making his team win.
