The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. It was founded in 2007 and is one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world. The league consists of 10 teams (as per 2023) representing different cities in India and runs annually, usually between March and May. Each team plays a total of 14 matches, seven at home and seven away, with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs. The winner of the playoffs is crowned the champion of the IPL. The league is known for its high-quality cricket, star-studded lineups, and a thrilling format that keeps fans engaged throughout the season.

About IPL 2023 Captains:- 

Sanju Samson - Sanju Viswanath Samson (born 11 November 1994) is an Indian cricketer who currently captains Kerala in county cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. Sanju was the vice-captain of the Indian U-19 side for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup as a right-handed wicket-keeper-batter. In the 2015 away T20I against Zimbabwe, he made his India debut. In 2021, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka.

Rishabh Pant - Rishabh Rajendra Pant (born 4 October 1997) is one of the  Indian international cricketers who plays as a wicket-keeper batsman for the Indian cricket team. He has represented India in all formats, but he is best recognised for his consistency in scoring runs in Test cricket. Pant plays domestic cricket for Delhi and captains Delhi in the Indian Premier League. He was the vice-captain of India's Under-19 squad, who finished second in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Ms Dhoni - Mahendra Singh Dhoni (born 7 July 1981) is a former Indian cricketer who captained the Indian national team in limited-overs forms from 2007 to 2017, and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. He also serves as the captain of Chennai  in the Indian Premier League. India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2011 Cricket World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy under his guidance, the most by any captain. He also led India to Asia Cup victories in 2010 and 2016.

Rohit Sharma - Rohit Gurunath Sharma (born 30 April 1987) is an international cricketer who currently serves as the team's captain. Rohit is regarded as one of the best opening hitters of all time due to his timing, elegance, six-hitting talents, and leadership abilities. He bats right-handed for the India national cricket team in international cricket, the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, and Mumbai in domestic cricket. Rohit also captains the Mumbai Indians, who have won the most titles of any team under his leadership, with five.

Hardik Pandya - Hardik Himanshu Pandya (born October 11, 1993) is an Indian cricketer. Pandya, an all those who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium, has represented India in all three formats. He also plays for the domestic Baroda cricket team and captains the recently debuted club Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which he led to their first IPL title in the 2022 season. Krunal Pandya, his elder brother, is also a cricketer.
