PM Modi in Jammu & Kashmir Visit Latest Updates: Modi will Launch Some Projects in Srinagar on his First Visit of the Third Term

PM Modi's First Sri Nagar Visit in Third Term 2024

PM Modi visited Sri Nagar for the First time in his third term in 2024 for a planned official trip on 20th June. He arrived there on this same date. The very next day, which is also International Yoga Day (June 21, Friday), he attended the gathering at SKI Conference Centre. He also led the session.

• The Indian PM Modi paid a visit to Kashmir for a two-day stay on June 20 and inaugurated multiple developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir after he laid the foundation stone. 
• The worth of these developmental projects is said to be more than INR 1500 Crores involving Infrastructure in Higher Education, Road construction, and Water Supply. 
• Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, accompanied PM Modi in the Gathering at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC). This centre is located on the banks of the Dal Lake. He was warm-heartedly welcomed on the traditional Kashmiri songs with flowers.

PM Modi's Post Before Srinagar Visit

Just before the start of his visit to Srinagar, PM Modi posted:

"Leaving for Srinagar, where I will be taking part in two programmes. Later this evening, I will be at the 'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' programme, which focuses on youth-led development. Key projects worth over ₹ 1500 crore will be inaugurated or their foundation stones will be laid. These works cover infrastructure, water supply, education and more. Tomorrow morning, I will take part in the Yoga Day programme in Srinagar."

Another report stated:

"On 21st June, around 6:30 am, the Prime Minister will participate in the 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC in Srinagar. The Prime Minister will address the gathering on the occasion and take part in the CYP Yoga session thereafter."

PM Modi is also expected to launch a JKCIP (Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project) that has a total worth of around INR 1800 Crores.

• PM Modi Inaugurated 84 Major Development Projects in Jammu & Kashmir that has a worth More than INR 1500 Crores.
• These projects are related to roads, water supply schemes, and infrastructure in higher education.
• He will also inaugurate the Improvement Project of the Chenanipatnitop-Nashri Section.
• Development of Industrial Estates can be observed in the upcoming time.
• Construction of 6 Government Degree Colleges is also expected to occur in the coming years.
• Launch Competitiveness Improvement Project in Agriculture and allied sector project is also done by PM Modi.
• He also participated in the ‘Empowering Youth Transforming J&K’ Event.
• He also distributed appointment letters to more than 2000 people appointed to Government Service.
