 The auction for the WPL Delhi Capitals Team 2023 was held on Monday, February 13th, 2023. According to sources, the Delhi Capitals had bid more than INR 2 crores for players such as Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues. Jemimah Rodrigues, an Indian cricketer, was retained for a hefty INR 2.20 crores, while Shafali Verma was kept for INR 2 crores.

WPL Delhi Capital Franchise and Coach 2023

Jonathan Batty, who led the Oval Invincibles women's team to The Hundred championships in 2021 and 2022, has been chosen head coach. Batty has also guided the Melbourne Stars and the Surrey Women's side in the Women's Big Bash League. The franchise has appointed former cricketers Hemlata Kala and Lisa Keightley as assistant coaches. Biju George, who previously coached the Indian women's team, has been chosen fielding coach. George serves in the same function for the Delhi Capitals' men's team.
