Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira, arrested in drug smuggling case

Chrisann Pereira, an actress, has been released from Sharjah jail after being arrested when drugs were discovered hidden inside a trophy she had brought with her to Sharjah.

Following the discovery, investigations were initiated after the actress's family claimed that she had been falsely implicated in the case. It was subsequently revealed that a man named Paul had masterminded the plan to frame Chrisann, apparently as an act of revenge against her mother.

Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira Connection With a Drug-Smuggling Case

Chrisann Pereira, a Bollywood actress, has been released from a jail in Sharjah, UAE, where she was being held in connection with a drug-smuggling case. The 27-year-old was arrested earlier this month after authorities discovered drugs hidden inside a trophy she was carrying. Pereira has appeared in several films, including Sadak 2 and Batla House.

What Police Said About The Case Of Chrisann Pereira

The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested two individuals who had allegedly framed Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira in connection with a drug-smuggling case. The accused, Anthony Paul and Rajesh Babhote alias Ravi, were charged with planting drugs to incriminate Pereira. 

Paul is a resident of Borivali in Mumbai, while Babhote hails from Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra. The police claim that the duo concealed the drugs in a trophy that Pereira carried to Sharjah.

Who else involved in Drug Case of Chrisann Pereira

It was reported that Anthony Paul, a resident of Borivali in Mumbai, had been identified as one of the accused in a drug trafficking case. 

The Mumbai Crime Branch also apprehended his alleged accomplice, Rajesh Babhote, who goes by the alias Ravi and is a resident of Sindhudurg district in Maharashtra. The duo is accused of smuggling drugs hidden in a trophy to Sharjah. 

The details of the case are currently under investigation by the authorities.

The Reason For Framing Chrisann Pereira

It was reported that the family of Chrisann Pereira alleged that she had been falsely implicated in a drug trafficking case. Following this, the Mumbai Police launched an investigation into the matter.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Anthony Paul was the mastermind behind the plan to frame Chrisann in the case as an act of revenge against her mother, Premila Pereira. Paul, in collaboration with his accomplice Ravi, devised a scheme to send Chrisann to the UAE for an audition for an international web series. It was during this trip that the duo handed her a trophy, in which the drugs were concealed.

Further investigation by the police revealed that Paul had framed four other individuals in a similar fashion as Chrisann. The case remains under investigation by the authorities.
