Impact Players: Match-wise list of Substitutes Players in IPL 2023

The Impact Player Rule for IPL 2023 has brought huge changes in the flow of the IPL game and all the players taken as Impact players by the franchises have performed differently in different matches.

IPL 2023 1st Match : GT vs. CSK

• The inaugural match of IPL 2023 was scheduled for March 31st, Friday and the first match was between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings and the latter got to bat first. 
• This match was won by the Gujarat Titans franchise and Deshpande’s performance was average in this match. 

Tushar Deshpande : First Impact Player IPL

• Tushar Deshpande became the first impact player in the first innings of this match for IPL 2023 as he was opted by the CSK franchise to replace Ambati Rayudu.
• Deshpande gave an average performance in the match as an impact player and his team, CSK lost the match.

B Sai Sudharsan : Second Impact Player IPL

• The second Impact player, B Sai Sudharsan, was opted by the Gujarat Titans Franchise to replace Kane WIlliamson, who got injured during the first innings of this inaugural match on March 31st, Friday..
• This match was won by the Gujarat Titans franchise and Deshpande’s performance was average in this match but his team won at last.

IPL 2023 2nd Match : PBKS vs. KKR

• The Second match of IPL 2023 was scheduled for April 1st, Saturday (03:30 PM) and the teams partaking in this match were Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. 
• PBKS get to bat first. This match was won by Punjab Kings. The Venue for this match was in Mohali.

Rishi Dhawan : Third Impact Player IPL

• Rishi Dhawan, from Punjab Kings, became the third Impact player of the IPL 2023, who replaced Bhanuka Rajapaksha in the match as an impact player. 
• His performance was average in the matches played till now.

Venkatesh Iyer : Fourth Impact Player IPL

• The fourth impact player, Venkatesh Iyer in IPL 2023 was opted by the KKR franchise in this 2nd match of IPL to replace Varun Chakravarthy.

Krishnappa Gowtham  : Fifth Impact Player IPL

• The fifth impact player, Krishnappa Gowtham in IPL 2023 was opted by the KKR franchise in this 3rd match of IPL to replace Ayush Badoni.
• Gowtham’s performance in IPL has not been that amazing in IPL 2023 till now and fans are looking forward to some major contribution from his side to the team.

Aman Khan : Sixth Impact Player IPL

• The sixth impact player, Aman Khan in IPL 2023 was opted by the DC franchise in this 3rd match of IPL to replace Khaleel Ahmed.

Navdeep Saini : Seventh Impact Player IPL

Jason Behrendorff : Ninth Impact Player IPL

• The ninth impact player, Jason Behrendorff in IPL 2023 was opted by the MI franchise in this 5th match of IPL to replace Suryakumar Yadav.
